Those who want to get a driver’s license will have the right to cover a distance of about 100 meters ‘on a trial basis’ without being penalized for the committed violations and made mistakes. The new practice will be used starting with August 13, IPN reports.
The right to ‘trial’ driving is given both when motor vehicles of the state-run company “Registru” are used and when vehicles of the driving schools are used. In a communique, IS “Registru” says the measure is taken because many persons feel unconfident when they take the driving test by driving an unknown car for the first time.
Another modification provides that the persons who have a driver’s license allowing them to drive only motor vehicles with automated transmission can have this provision excluded if they pass the driving test on a vehicle with manual transmission.
