The composition of the Parliament’s Standing Bureau will be modified. A draft decision to this effect was included in the October 13 meeting of the parliamentary commission on legal appointments and immunities, IPN reports.
Under the draft decision, Democratic MP Dumitru Diacov will replace his colleague Vlad Plahotniuc, who vacated his seat of MP at the end of July. The head of the Liberal parliamentary group Mihai Ghimpu will substitute Valeriu Munteanu, who was named minister of environment.
The Standing Bureau will also include Liberal-Democratic MPs Tudor Deliu and Iurie Tap. The first will replace the head of the Liberal-Democratic faction Vlad Filat, while the second – current Prime Minister Valeriu Strelet.
