Champions League continues in dramatic progression

The UEFA Champions League continued on Tuesday with Matchday 2 in its specific dramatic note. Spain's Real Madrid won their first Champions League away for two years, although they had to ride their luck to do so 2-1 at Zenit St Petersburg. The Spaniards haven't won away since their success with Steaua Bucharest in the 2006/07 season. Italy's heavyweight Juventus battled back from 2-0 down to draw 2-2 at underdogs BATE Borisov. Fiorentina, Serie A's other Champions League flagbearers, also drew 0-0 at home to Steaua Bucharest in Group F with their Romanian forward Adrian Mutu disappointing against his countrymen.
