The new season of the National Futsal Championship began with a surprise. Current champion Progres Chisinau was able to score only a 1-1 draw in the match against Atletico, IPN reports.
Progres led since the 12th minute, after Iaroslav Subbotin’s goal, but Valeriu Baesu tied in the 21st minute. The team trained by Dorin Coceban was unable to score the victory goal afterward.
In another match played in Tiraspol, Sokol lost to the newly promoted Olimpia Balti by 1-6. The guests led by 0-5 after the goals scored by Gherman (5th minute), Hilotii (7), Robu (9,12) and Ciopa (27). The victory goal was scored by Coroleac (34th minute), while the final score was set by Tanurcov one minute later.
The fresh winner of the Super Cup Tarsus also competes in the National Futsal Championship. Double champion Lexmax refused to take part because the competition involves only five teams.
