The State Enterprise "Calea Ferata din Moldova" (CFM) reports political interference in its operations, although it does not specify any particular cases or individuals. According to the institution, this situation tarnishes its image, compromises its integrity, and undermines CFM's fundamental values, reports IPN, citing a press release.

"Recently, the State Enterprise 'Calea Ferată din Moldova' has increasingly been subjected to attempts by certain individuals to exert political influence over its operations, manipulate public opinion through unfounded statements regarding CFM's situation, and involve the company in political games", the institution states.

CFM reiterates that: its main mission is to provide high-quality transportation services for passengers and freight, it plays a crucial role in the country's economic development, it is a strategic enterprise of national importance.

"Despite all difficulties, even in the current unprecedented situation, the CFM team remains committed to its duties, striving to maintain operations and continue the institutional reform in strict accordance with current legislation," the statement continues.

CFM respects the right to opinion but condemns misinformation and attacks. The company calls for fairness and urges political activists, regardless of their interests, to avoid provocations and refrain from dragging the institution into political games, power struggles, or similar activities.
