Seven persons who were earlier put on the international sanctions lists of the EU, the U.S., the UK, Canada, and Norway for attempts to destabilize the internal situation in the Republic of Moldova or for involvement in actions that undermine Ukraine’s statehood and territorial integrity were put also on the sanctions list approved by the Commission for Exceptional Situations (CES). The decision was taken on June 28, IPN reports.
The seven persons are: Gheorghe Cavcaliuc, Marina Tauber, Vladimir Andronachi, Veaceslav Platon, Constantin Botnari, Aleksandr Kalinin and Grigore Caramalac.
The financial transactions performed by these persons on Moldova’s territory will be subject to more rigorous control.
The Commission also decided to allocate over 11.3 million lei from the Government’s reserve fund for maintaining temporary placement centers for refugees opened at the central and local levels.
