The Implementation Unit of the Competitiveness Enhancement Project II (CEP II) approved another seven applications for financing the development of export-oriented businesses. The companies will benefit from grants for enhancing their competitiveness on foreign markets. Among the beneficiaries of the project are producers of textile, vegetable oils, teas, electronic and mechanic appliances and information technology and services, IPN reports.
According to a press release of the project’s team, one of these is the oil producer “Azamet Grup”, which intends to export a series of new products such as bread, including without gluten, with flour made from grape seeds or hemp seeds, pasta from the same ingredients and hemp milk without lactose. The company applied for financing for the services to draw up the technological record card for the new products, to work out a marketing strategy and to develop instruments for marketing these such as trademarks, brochures, catalogues and websites.
Among the beneficiaries is also the company “Ritlabs”, which developed the well-known email client “The Bat”. This will benefit from consultancy in thinking up the medium-term development strategy, auditing the company’s internal processes and analyzing the regional and international markets of mailing services.
The Nisporeni-based company “Vintoia-Exim” will get a grant for developing new lines for producing dried and rehydrated fruit, especially plums, cherries, apples, pears and tomatoes. These will be exported to the EU and the CIS. There will be worked out product, price and promotion policies, starting with packing and ending with participation in specialized exhibitions.
The Moldovan herbal teas will reach the consumers in Turkey, Namibia, and Belarus. The commercial society “Doctor-Farm” produces 40 types of teas with herbal additives and plans to export these for the first time with the help of the CEP II.
CEP II director Aureliu Casian called on other Moldovan producers to apply to the project so as to benefit from grants to develop their businesses and enter new markets.
CEP II provides grants of up to 200,000 lei per business. The financing is intended for national SMEs that want to export their products. The money is offered for consultancy services. A number of 14 applications for financing have been accepted within the CEP II so far, while three applications are being examined.
