The residents of Sofia, Balceana and Negrea villages of Hancesti district will be connected to a centralized sewerage system. The agreement on the construction of a wastewater treatment station and the extension of the sewerage system was signed by the local authorities of the three villages, the Hancesti District Council and the Centru Regional Development Agency, IPN reports, quoting a communiqué of the Agency.

“We want to support the inhabitants of the central region of the country by this important project,” said the director of the Centru Regional Development Agency Tudor Mesina.

Within the project, there will be also built three wastewater pumping stations and about 28 km of sewer pipes. The wastewater treatment station will have a capacity of 200 cubic meters a day. More than 21 million lei was allocated from the National Regional Development Fund for building the new sewerage system.
