The parties and independent candidates who will take part in the campaign for the November 28 early legislative elections can register with the Central Election Commission (CEC) starting with October 4. The applications can be filed between 09.00 and 16.00, on Sundays and Saturdays inclusive, Info-Prim Neo reports. In the September 29 meeting, the Commission approved the composition of the draw committee, which will be headed by CEC secretary Iurie Ciocan. The CEC members who work only during the electoral period were suspended from their main jobs. These are the secretary of the ASITO international insurance company Mihai Busuleac, lawyer Vasile Gafton, the head of the Audit Office's Law Division Nicolae Garbu, and director general SRL Aero Activ Vasile Vizant. Under the Commission's decision, 31 political parties that were registered at the Ministry of Justice before the election campaign can take part in the race. On September 28, Acting President Mihai Ghimpu signed a decree whereby the eighteenth legislature was dissolved, following the non-election of the head of state by two attempts.
