Central bank stages financial education event “A Day of Vacation at NBM”

The National Bank of Moldova on August 11 will hold a financial education event entitled “A Day of Vacation at the NBM”, which is traditionally staged for the general public in summer. The central bank will open its doors to children, young people, parents and grandparents – all those who spend the vacation at home and would like to visit the NBM, IPN reports.

The visitors will be able to able to see the bank’s exhibition hall and to admire the collection of commemorative and jubilee coins issued by the NBM and other central banks. They could also learn about the history of the national currency and see a presentation of the safety signs of the Moldovan leu and the modernization of this.

The children will be offered by a financial education guidebook teaching them how to create a personal budget or to spend intelligently. The smaller visitors will receive by a draft money box that they could make together with their parents so as to learn what saving is.

Access to the bank will be opened according to the list, on the presentation of IDs by persons who will accompany the children. Those interested can register until August 10, 5pm, through edufin@bnm.md.

Visits were scheduled for 10am, 11am, 12 noon, 2pm, and 3pm.
