Pupils and students interested in financial subjects and the advantages this knowledge offer in a modern world are invited to the 4th edition of the financial education event “The Road of Money” on October 28. The event is organized by the National Bank of Moldova (BNM) within the project “Learn! Give sense to money”.
The journey will begin in the exhibition hall of the National Bank, where visitors will be able to see the wide collection of commemorative and jubilee coins issued by it, as well as coins of other countries. Visitors will learn the history of the Moldovan leu and the way followed by the money to enter the economy. Later they will discover the safety features of the national currency.
Each group will visit a licensed bank in order to find out what it is and how it works and the reason a citizen or the economy need a bank. There will also be simulated situations where the participants will need to make financial decisions to ensure better management of their own money, the NBM said in a press release.
Access to the Bank will be based on lists drawn up in advance for groups of up to 30 people, aged over 12 years. Students will be accompanied by an adult who will be responsible for the safety of minors during the trip. Requests can be submitted until October 26, 2022, 4 p.m., to the email address edufin@bnm.md.
