Center of Korean Language and Culture celebrates third anniversary
The Center of Korean Language and Culture “Se Jong” working at the Free International University of Moldova marks the third anniversary this year. In order to celebrate the event, the Center staged a performance of music in the Korean language, a dance of fans and a demonstration of Taekwondo on November 3, Info-Prim Neo reports.
The festivity was opened by a performance of instrumental music involving young artists of the Music High School “Ciprian Porumbescu”, the Music College “Stefan Neaga”, and two young singers from Korea. The artists showed their skills by playing different instruments and singing Korean music.
The event was attended by Ambassador of South Korea with residence in Kiev, Kim Eun Joong. He said he was in Moldova for the first time and was glad to see so many nice people. He stressed that the relations between Moldova and Korea are special and close and will become even better and more open owing to the Center’s activity.
The best students of the Center, who study Korean, received scholarships of 1,000 and 2,000 lei. They took part in a Korean language contest, showing their knowledge by writing an essay.
The Taekwondo WTF Open Cup of the Ambassador of South Korea will take place at the State University of Physical Education and Sport on November 4 – 5, starting at 9am.
