Center for Reforms Implementation to be dissolved

A draft Government decision that was posted on particip.gov.md for public debates provides for the dissolution of the public institution “Center for Reforms Implementation”, IPN reports.

Under the draft, when the Government approves the decision, the State Chancellery within 30 days will constitute a liquidation commission and a commission for signing over the public property to it.

The informative note to the draft decision says the liquidation decision was taken following the examination of the progress report for 2017-2019. The State Chancellery will undertake the task to analyze the impact on the bills that stipulate reorganizations and structural or institutional reforms at public authorities/institutions.

The Center for Reforms Implementation was founded in January 2017 to coordinate reforms at governmental level, to assess their implementation level among the public authorities and competent organizational bodies and to cooperate with international institutions so as to borrow the best practices and to attract foreign assistance.

Iurie Ciocan was named head of the Center and managed it until June 2019.
