Census data started to be processed, results to be made public next year

The National Bureau of Statistics began to process the data of the population and dwelling census taken in 2014. According to the published calendar, the census data will be made public in the first quarter of next year, while their public presentation will take place on March 31, 2017, IPN reports.

About 200 operators were involved in data processing. These work in two shifts. The operators were trained within seminars staged with the support of the United Nations Population Fund on April 5-8.

A number of 100 laptops were rented from the Central Election Commission for processing the data. The laptops are secured and do not have access to the Internet and possibilities of copying/transmitting information on any device (SD card, USB stick, DVD etc.). To make sure that the confidentiality of data is protected, the computer hall will be supervised by video cameras.
