CEI summit starts in Bucharest
Romania's capital is hosting the summit of the Central European Initiative (CEI) during November 10-13. Moldova's Prime Minister Vlad Filat will take part in the CEI Heads of Government Summit on November 13, Info-Prim Neo reports.
The program of the CEI events for this months includes a roundtable meeting of the CEI Ministers of Economy on November 11 and the CEI Summit Economic Forum on November 12. There will be also held the meetings of the CEI National Coordinators and of the CEI Foreign Ministers. The Summit of CIS Heads of Government will take place on November 13.
Prime Minister Vlad Filat said he hopes he will have a meeting with the President of Romania Traian Basescu on the sidelines of the summit. He will be accompanied by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Iurie Leanca.
The Premier voiced hope that while in Bucharest they will sign the Convention on Small-Scale Border Traffic.
The CEI brings together 18 countries, counting Albania, Austria, Belarus, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, the Czech Public, Croatia, Italy, Macedonia, Moldova, Montenegro, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Serbia, Ukraine, and Hungary.
Romania has held the presidency of the CEI this year.
