CEI Ministerial Meeting to take place in Chisinau

The Republic of Moldova on November 21-22 is hosting the annual Meeting of Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the member states of the Central European Initiative as the President of the CEI this year, IPN reports.

After the meeting, Deputy Prime Minister Nicu Popescu, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Albania Besart Kadia and CEI Secretary General Roberto Antonione will make statements for the press.

The event will take place in the building of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration on November 22, starting at 12 noon.

Formed in Budapest in 1989, the Central European Initiative (CEI) is a regional intergovernmental forum of 17 Member States in Central, Eastern and South-Eastern Europe. It fosters European integration and sustainable development through regional cooperation. Moldova joined the CEI at the Graz Summit of heads of state of the member states of this organization on November 8, 1996.

In connection with the meeting, the Chisinau City Hall informed that the citizens’ access to particular public spaces in the capital city will be temporarily limited on November 21-22. Drivers are asked to comply with the requests of the traffic police, to show patience and to obey the road traffic regulations.
