The Central Election Commission (CEC) today approved the report on the results of the snap parliamentary elections of July 11, 2021 and will present it to the Constitutional Court for the validation of the election outcome, the seats of MP and the list of substitute candidates, IPN reports.
The Commission ascertained that the number of voters put on the main rolls is of 2 768 035, while the number of voters put on additional lists is of 284 568. The voting process involved 1 480 965 persons. The turnout was 52.30%, which is more than 1/3 of the persons put on the voter rolls.
The CEC also determined the number of seats of MP for the three contenders that passed the election threshold. The Party of Action and Solidarity will hold 63 seats of MP, the Electoral Bloc of the Communists and the Socialists – 32 seats, while the Shor Party – 6 seats.
