The Central Election Commission suspended the organization of snap local mayoral elections in ten localities owing to the state of emergency. The elections were to be held on May 15 this year, IPN reports.

Earlier, the Commission set mayors elections on May 15 for: Glinjeni village of Fălești district; Ghetlova village of Orhei district; Horodiște village of Rezina district; Zastânca village of Soroca district; Moara de Piatră village of Drochia district, and Tătărești village of Strășeni district; Păulești village of Călărași district; Alexăndrești commune and Zăicani village of Râșcani district, and Hagimus village of Căușeni district.
