CEC starts to print ballots for November 19 referendum and new local elections

A number of 632,000 ballots will be printed for the local referendum on the dismissal of Dorin Chirtoaca from the post of mayor general of Chisinau municipality. A number of 413,000 ballots will be in the Romanian language, while the rest will be in Russian. The ballots will be 160 mm in width and 120 mm in length. Over 98,000 lei will be spent on printing these, IPN reports.

According to the Central Election Commission (CEC), 29,000 ballots will be printed for the new local mayoral elections that will take place the same day. The longest ballot, of 216 mm, will be in Sangera town of Chisinau municipality, where six candidates run for mayoralty.

On November 19, local mayoral elections will be held in Sangera town of Chisinau municipality, Berlinti village of Briceni district, Zarnesti commune of Cahul, Plopi commune of Cantemir, Stefanesti commune of Floresti, Fundurii Noi village of Glodeni, Lapusna village of Hancesti, Sarateni commune of Leova, Capriana commune of Straseni and Ghiliceni commune of Telenesti.
