The Central Election Commission (CEC) agreed the monthly size of subsidies that the political parties will receive from the state budget for 2021. The size is set depending on the results achieved by the parties in the parliamentary elections of February 24, 2019, the local general elections of October 20, 2019 and the presidential elections of November 1, 2020, IPN reports.
Under the legal provisions, the subsidies will be distributed as such: 30% to political parties proportionally to the results obtained in the parliamentary elections and in the local general elections; 15% to political parties proportionally to the results obtained in the presidential elections; 7.5% to the political parties proportionally to the number of women effectively elected in the parliamentary elections; 7,5% to the political parties proportionally to the number of women effectively elected in the local elections; 5% to the political parties proportionally to the number of young people effectively elected in the parliamentary elections; 5% to the political parties proportionally to the number of young people effectively elected in the local elections.
This way, in accordance with the CEC decision, the monthly subsidy will be: 0.3131604 lei – for each valid vote cast in in the parliamentary elections of February 24, 2019; 0.2943115 lei – for each valid vote cast in the local general elections of October 20, 2019; 0.4696923 lei – for each valid vote cast in the presidential elections of November 1, 2020; 8,209.2548077 lei – for each woman elected effectively in the parliamentary elections of February 24, 2019; 51.8185543 lei – for each woman elected effectively in the local general elections of October 20, 2019; 10,945.6730769 lei – for each young person elected effectively in the parliamentary elections of February 24, 2019 and 84.473357 lei – for each young person elected effectively in the local general elections of October 20, 2019
The state budget subsidies will be transferred monthly to the bank accounts opened for the purpose by the political parties.
