Political parties and electoral blocs will receive 0.49 lei for every vote they received in the February 24 election, as decided today by the Central Electoral Commission.

CEC also decided to give parties 15,151 lei for every female MP elected in single-member constituencies and 6,140 lei for every young MP.

The total amount allocated to CEC to distribute as party subsidies is 40 million lei.

Of the total subsidies, 40% will be distributed proportionally to the results of parliamentary elections and other 40% will be distributed according to the results of the upcoming local elections. A further 10% will go to the parties that meet the 40% quota for women, 5% will be allocated to parties proportionally to the number of female MPs elected in single-member constituencies, and another 5% to the number of young candidates elected in parliamentary and local elections.

The subsidies granted from the state budget will be transferred monthly to the accounts opened by the respective parties specifically for this purpose.
