CEC schedules rerun polls in another two localities

The residents of Albina town in Cimislia district and of Bugeac village in Gagauzia autonomy will again be expected at the polling stations to elect their mayors on December 9, as decided by the Central Election Commission (CEC) at its yesterday’s sitting. The reason for holding new elections in Albina is that the town’s mayor has recently died. The elections for mayor in Bugeac village will be held for the fourth time this year, as the previous attempts didn’t produce any valid result. The local general elections were held on June 3 this year, and the second round voting on June 17.
