The Central Election Commission (CEC) has registered the first two aspirants for the post of President of the Republic of Moldova. These are: Andrei Năstase, of the Party “Dignity and Truth Platform”, and Renato Usatyi, of the Political Party “Our Party”, IPN reports.
The Commission also approved the electoral symbols that will be imprinted on the ballot for the presidential elections and confirmed the representatives with the right to vote on the CEC and the persons responsible for finances of the two election runners.
The CEC warns that under the electoral legislation, the campaign prior to the November 1 presidential elections starts not earlier than 30 days before the election day, which is on October 2 this year.
