The Central Election Commission (CEC), in a meeting on September 18, registered the leader of the Party “Platform Dignity and Truth” Andrei Nastase as a candidate for the presidency. It also registered the applicant’s electoral symbols and confirmed the representative with the right of consultative vote and the persons responsible for the financial resources (treasurer), IPN reports.

In a press release, the CEC says last Sunday it also accredited a number of national observers on behalf of the Public Association “Promo-LEX” and international observers on behalf of the Permanent Electoral Authority of Romania, the Embassy of Hungary in Moldova and the Embassy of Sweden in Moldova for overseeing the October 30 presidential elections.
