The online board of the Central Election Commission shows over 70,000 people or 2.60% of the voters cast their ballots by 08:30am, IPN reports.
The CEC presents online how voting goes in the national constituency and in single-member constitutions on its website and on its Facebook page.
According to CEC president Alina Russu, the citizens on Moldova’s territory can vote with valid identity cards of the citizen of the Republic of Moldova, while the Moldovans abroad with the valid passport. It is banned photographing ballots in polling booths and the voter rolls. The filming of the voting process is permitted only with the consent of the head of the electoral body. The ballot given to the voter cannot be taken out of the polling place. It is not allowed campaigning inside the polling place or at its entrance.
The Moldovans from the diaspora can access the division diaspora.voteaza.md on the website voteaza.md, where they can inform themselves about the closest polling places, the route to them and which of them are less crowded.
