CEC deputy head says when parliamentary elections could be held

This year's parliamentary elections could be held in mid-July to early October, deputy chairman of the Central Election Commission Pavel Postica stated on Realitatea TV.

"This would be the three-month period during which, according to the law, ordinary elections can be organized. Respectively, from my personal point of view, it would be better for the Central Election Commission for the elections to be held as late as possible so that we prepare as well as possible for the upcoming elections," said Pavel Postica.

he noted that the political and legal decision is to be taken by the Parliament of the Republic of Moldova.

"We must take into account the fact that after each election, particular shortcomings are signaled, including in the law. There are things that are somehow interpretable, unclear and are to be adjusted," said Pavel Postica.
