CEC delegation will study organisation and holding of presidential elections in Russia

The Central Election Commission (CEC) accepted the invitation of the Russian election authority and delegated three persons to take part in the presidential elections in Russia, Info-Prim Neo reports. The delegation composed of the Commission’s vice president Renata Lapti, the CEC member Nicolae Garbu and a member of the apparatus will be in Moscow between February 29 and March 4. They will familiarise themselves with the main stages of organising and holding democratic elections. Russia will cover the accommodation expenses, while the travel expenses and daily allowances will be paid from the state budget. The presidential elections in Russia will take place on March 2, 2007.
