The Central Election Commission (CEC) set up the Bălți District Electoral Council No. 2 for organizing and conducting the new local mayoral elections of November 21, IPN reports.
In accordance with the Electoral Code, during three days the Electoral Council is to elect the president, vice president and secretary by secret ballot from among its members. The information about the place (office), date and hour when documents for registering candidates for mayor will be accepted is to be made public 24 hours before the receipt of documents from election contenders.
In the same meeting, the Commission registered the Electoral Bloc of Communists and Socialists, created by the Party of Socialists and the Party of Communists, for running in the November 21 elections.
