CEC authorizes 24 election monitors

The Central Election Commission has authorized new observers to monitor the preterm parliamentary elections on November 28, Info-Prim Neo reports. CEC registered on Friday 11 national observers representing the NGO “Center for Social Development”, 8 observers representing the “Partnership for Development” Women's Center, 3 observers representing the Moldovan Human Rights Institute and 2 international observers representing the Russian Central Election Commission. Additionally, the CEC registered 10 interpreters for the OSCE's Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (OSCE/ODIHR). Also on Friday, the Commission amended paragraph 13 of the Regulations on outdoor electoral advertising, requiring CEC's prior consent for the display of civic education posters. The Guidelines on the mobile voting were also amended to allow voters with visual impairments to ask for a mobile box orally, as opposed to a written application.
