CEC approves calendar plan for organizing referendum
The Central Election Commission (CEC) Friday agreed the calendar plan for organizing and holding the constitution referendum of September 5, Info-Prim Neo reports.
The electoral rolls will be compiled in two copies between July 10 and August 10, on the basis of the state register. By August 16, the lists are to be signed by the mayors.
A working meeting will take place at the CEC on Tuesday, July 13, involving secretaries of the local public administration. During August 16-26, the members of the commission will hold field seminars.
The Commission decided to register 37 electoral districts of the second level. 30 parties that registered with the Ministry of Justice by July 7, 2010 will be allowed to campaign for the referendum.
