CEC anticipates expenses of 51 million lei in 2013

The Central Electoral Commission plans a budget of 51,8 million lei. The CEC head Iurie Ciocan said that the institution needed more finances compared to last year because it planned to implement various projects for the improvement of the electoral system, Info-Prim Neo reports. The Central Electoral Commission plans to implement the national automated information system, to level electoral equipment throughout the country and to train the electoral workers. “I don’t want people to think that we plan to raise the wages or other unjustified expenses. The money will be used only to implement reformatory projects”, said Iurie Ciocan. The expenses for 2014 are anticipated to be about 81,757 million lei because it’s an electoral year. The CEC budget for the current year is 5 million lei.
