The Central Election Commission reached a decision about the organization of the runoff presidential elections. CEC president Alina Russu said none of the candidates who ran for President polled at least half of the vote to win the elections. The top two candidates will compete in the runoff on November 13. On the ballot, the candidate with the largest number of votes gained in the first round will be written the first, IPN reports.
In the November 2 meeting, the CEC approved the text and model of the ballot, which will contain two quadrilaterals. The ballots that will be printed for the runoff vote will have the same characteristics as those used in the first round of voting.
The cap on the amounts that can be transferred to the electoral funds of the candidates is not modified and is 65.7 million lei. In the election campaign, the two candidates will also use the resources from these funds.
