The Central Election Commission (CEC) on August 9 accredited the first international observers to oversee the October 30 presidential elections, IPN reports.
The observers represent the Embassy of Slovakia and the Embassy of the Sovereign Order of Malta in Moldova.
In the same meeting, the CEC accredited the national observers on behalf of the branch in Chisinau of the International Institute for Monitoring Democratic Development, Parliamentarism and Suffrage Protection of Citizens of IPA CIS Member Nations.
Earlier, the CEC accredited 15 national observers representing the Association “Promo-LEX”.
