CCCEC opens draft methodology for corruption perception to public debate

The Center for Combating Economic Crimes and Corruption (CCCEC) has opened the draft Methodology for measuring perception of corruption in social systems to public debate, Info-Prim Neo reports. The document was drafted by CCCEC in cooperation with domestic research institutions and with the support of U.S. partners for the purpose of reducing corruption. This activity is provided for in Chapter V “Optimization of CCCEC activity” of the Threshold Plan for Moldova. The methodology aims to track the temporal and spatial developments of corruption in the social systems, which will be used to elaborate or improve anti-corruption policies, as a result of detecting new problems and social reactions. At the same time, the methodology is intended to assist the implementation of the anti-corruption policies, to strengthen the legislative framework in the field, to consolidate the capacities of the law enforcement bodies and facilitate the cooperation between them, etc. Suggestions and objections as to the content of the draft methodology are welcome at secretariat_gm@cccec.md.
