The decision of the Constitutional Court (CC) concerning the unconstitutionality of the President’s decree to designate the Liberal-Democratic leader Vlad Filat as a candidate for Prime Minister invokes the principles of a state with the rule of law and must be obeyed by the authorities, unaffiliated lawmaker Mihai Godea stated for IPN. He said that the decision is yet to be analyzed.
“The decisions of the Constitutional Court are irrevocable and must be implemented. I cannot even imagine what will happen next. It is a decision that must be studied carefully by the state institutions and the politicians. Such decisions are not taken often. I consider that the President and Parliament cannot ignore this decision,” stated Mihai Godea.
The vote for investing the new Government was to be given in the first sitting of Parliament this week
