International player Catalin Carp transferred from Viitorul Constanta to FC Ufa of the first echelon of Russia. The 23-year-old fullback signed a contract valid for three years and a half with the team trained by Sergey Semak, IPN reports.

Those from Ufa noticed Carp in the friendly between Viitorul and Levski that was played in Cyprus on January 20. He will be the second Moldovan who will play in the Premier League this season, after Alexandru Gatcan, who plays for Rostov. Ufa ranks eighth in the championship of Russia after 17 stages, having the same score as Rostov.

Catalin Carp started his career at Shakhtar Donetsk and Dinamo Kiev. Afterward, he played in the championship of Romania, for CFR Cluj, Steaua Bucuresti and Viitorul Constanta. For the national team, Carp played 11 matches and scored one goal.
