Casino game salons investigated for fraud
The police have found a series of irregularities at four casino game salons in Chisinau. According to the Ministry of Interior, the entrepreneurs have caused losses of over 300,000 lei, reports Info-Prim Neo.
Law enforcement officers have found out that the salons operated without an entrepreneurs’ license, also without an activity and sanitary authorization. Moreover, the policemen did not find any cash registers or accounting and transaction registries. Neither did they have any compliance certificates for the game machines.
Additionally, during a special inspection, the police have confiscated 42 game machines, worth over 420,000 lei, which were operating without legal paperwork. The police investigations have determined that through the four salons’ fraudulent activity, the firm caused losses to the State Budget for over 300,000 lei.
Currently the case is being investigated, in order to press charges against the entrepreneurs.
