The medical cases of eight Moldovan children suffering from cancer have been sent to Luxemburg. A team of doctors will analyze every case apart in order to identify the range of medical services needed by the children.

Contacted by IPN, the head of the Chisinau Oncologic Institute Victor Cernat said that four children have different forms of blood cancer, while another four children have solid tumors.

On May 21, Prime Minister Iurie Leanca had a meeting with the mayor of Luxemburg Xavier Bettel. The two officials examined the possibility of operating a number of Moldovan children suffering from cancer in Luxemburg. The children were to leave for Luxemburg at the end of June.
