The observers of Promo-LEX’s mission reported at least one case of offering of cash awards and also more voter corruption rumors and attempts. There were also reported at least 22 cases of organized transportation of voters to polling stations, IPN reports.
According to the Mission’s head Pavel Postica, the observers until 2pm reported 337 incidents, 221 of which have been already processed. There were also signaled several new cases of intimidation of observers and of obstruction of the free overseeing process.
Pavel Postica noted that in the municipality of Bender, the observers of Promo-LEX noticed that voters from the Transnistrian region, after casting their ballots, were paid by 400 lei on the presentation of the loose leaf accompanying the identity card near a shop. They had to also put their signatures on a list. It was determined that the persons were paid only if they had been put on the list before voting. In Cocieri, the voters also discussed a situation similar to that in Bender between them.
The observers identified at least 22 cases of organized transportation by the same units of transport or by vehicles with more than eight seats.
Such situations were detected at polling stations in Căușeni, Râșcani, Călărași, Cimișlia, Dubăsari, Florești, Anenii Noi and other districts.
