Case of Sholtoianu remitted to court

The Prosecutor General’s Office sent to court the legal case in which athlete Ion Sholtoianu is accused of deliberately murdering former policeman Ion Stratulat, Info-Prim Neo reports.
Ion Sholtoianu is in custody. Two weeks ago, the Chisinau Prosecutor’s Office sent another case to the Buiucani district court. In that case, Sholtoianu and an accomplice of his are charged with blackmail.
Ex-police officer Ion Stratulat was shot on September 19 at a terrace of a café in central Chisinau. Ion Sholtoianu accepted his blame, but pleads not guilty as he argues he defended himself.
