The state of the 15 children who suffered food poisoning at the summer camp “Dumbrava” in Talmaza village on August 4 is satisfactory. These were admitted to the infectious diseases section of the Stefan Voda District Hospital and a part of them will be discharged today, August 7.
The cause of posing will become known when the lab analyses are ready, in several days, epidemiologist Lidia Lukianov has told IPN.
A number of 27 children suffered food poisoning at the summer camp, but 12 of them followed treatment at home, being less affected. The others were hospitalized.
The National Consumer Protection Agency carried out a number of inspections at the summer camp, but identified no sanitary and technological irregularities. The cooking personnel have specialized education and all the cooks underwent medical examinations before taking up, while the food products were accompanied by certificates of origin and quality and were kept in appropriate conditions. The cooking facilities of the camp were renovated and are in a good state.
