The Prosecutor General’s Office (PGO) completed the investigation into the case of double murder committed in Magdacesti village of Criuleni district and remitted the case to court, IPN reports.

According to a communiqué from the PGO, on February 20, a man and his female partner entered the house of the victims in their absence. When they returned home, the man hit the house’s female owner and her son with a hard object. The victims died as a result of their injuries.

The man is accused of deliberate murder, while his partner, who is the killed women’s sister, of complicity in the murder.

The murdered woman and boy were the family of the mayor of Sofia, who was in the village where he works on that day.
