Carols in different languages at festival of customs and traditions
Carols, poems and songs in Romanian, Russian, Ukrainian, Polish, Bulgarian and Romany have been sung and recited today around the Christmas Tree during the festival of winter traditions and customs. The festival intended for children of different nationalities living in Moldova was organized by the Interethnic Relations Bureau, Info-Prim Neo reports.
The Bureau's vice director Vera Petuhov said that today the Nationalities House had many guests who included the most beautiful children of Moldova. According to her, the children love their language and it is a joy for them to sing songs and recite poems in the mother tongue.
“Today I will sing the carol “We Came to Carol” that I learned at the kindergarten together with my mates. I like the winter holidays very much for the fir trees, baubles, toys and Santa Claus,” said Andreea Marinescu from Chisinau.
The Interethnic Relations Bureau prepared gifts for the children who came to the festival and for the children with disabilities of the Grinauti school. “We do not forget about them. We are always near them,” said Vera Petuhov.
The puppet theater “Licurici” staged a play for the children attending the festival.
