The National Bank of Moldova held for the first time a Career Week, with events organized for the first time in educational institutions in Moldova. They were dedicated both to specialists in the financial-banking field and to young people focused on professional development, especially students and master’s students at faculties specialized in economics and finance.
More than 130 participants visited or watched live broadcasts on the first day of the week. They participated in panel discussions that brought together former NBM interns and in thematic workshops with the central bank’s experts, at the same time getting to know the job offers, as well as the hiring process within the NBM.
During the next three days of the week, teams of experts from the National Bank visited the relevant universities throughout the country, interacting with students and master’s students and providing them with information about the central bank’s areas of activity such as: banking supervision, reporting and statistics, budget, Finance & Accounting. The participants of the events learned what steps they need to take in order to sign up for an internship at the NBM, they got to know the offers of vacancies within the NBM, as well as the ways to register for the institution’s employment contests.
The event ended with an action in which nine of the best master’s students or students from the Academy of Economic Studies of Moldova, the Technical University of Moldova, the State University of Moldova, the Center of Excellence in Economics and Finance and the Iulia Hașdeu College from Cahul visited for one day the National Bank of Moldova. The nine winners of the competitions held throughout the week held talks with the governor and other members of the NBM team and got to know the institution’s fields of activity closely.
