“Carbon” directed by Ion Borș among Oscars submissions

The film “Carbon” made under the direction of Ion Borș was submitted to the 95th Academy Awards for the Best International Feature Film, commonly referred to as Oscars. The decision was taken by the members of the Moldovan committee for the selection and submission of International Feature Films for Oscars, IPN reports.

The committee convened in Chisinau on September 9 to choose and submit to the contest a representative film made in the Republic of Moldova.

The selection committee members are: Vlad Druc, director; Dumitru Olărescu, scriptwriter; Mihai Poiată, scriptwriter; Andrei Dumbrăveanu, director; Ana Maria Plămădeală, film critic; Valentina Iusuphodjaev, producer; Maxim Ciorbă, director; Eugen Doga, composer; Leontina Vatamanu, director, scriptwriter; Valentina Plugaru, secretary; Virgiliu Mărgineanu, producer and committee chairman, Nadejda Matveevici, producer; Larisa Turea, film critic; Valeriu Cașcaval, composer; Petru Hadârcă, actor, director; Zinaida Timofti, actress, and Victoria Cusnir, journalist.
