A boy aged eight died when the car in which he traveled slid into a pond near Comrat town. There was an adult and one more minor in the car, IPN reports.

Press officer of the Civil Protection and Emergencies Service Liliana Puscasu has told IPN that the rescuers were called out at 6am. The second minor who was in the car was saved by the adult, while the eight-year-old boy didn’t survive.

Six rescuers with two units of transport traveled to the scene to pull the vehicle out of the pond.
