Car stolen in Italy stopped when entering Moldova
A 27-year-old Moldovan was stopped at the Sculeni border crossing point as the car by which he traveled was stolen. He said he bought the car valued at €14,000 in Italy, Info-Prim Neo reports.
According to the Border Police, the young man had dual nationality, of Moldova and of Romania. It was established that the vehicle was bought in Italy in leasing. The Moldovan, who was the owner of the car, didn’t know that it was stolen.
The case is investigated by the Ungheni Police Commissariat. The car was included in the database of Interpol as stolen this January.
