A car was engulfed in flames while moving on Alexandru Hâjdău St in Balti municipality. No one was injured during the fire, IPN reports.
According to information provided by the local authorities, the flames quickly engulfed the vehicle, partially damaging the engine part and completely destroying the car's passenger cabin.
Firefighters said the intervention crews were called out and immediately arrived at the scene to extinguish the fire.
"The car, a VAZ 2111 model, was driven by a citizen of Balti municipality. At the time of the fire, the driver was traveling on that street. No casualties or injuries were reported," press officer of the General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations Liliana Pușcaș has told IPN.
The authorities continue the investigations in order to establish the exact cause of the fire. Specialists will provide additional details after the examinations are completed.
