Candidates who do not agree with grades in Baccalaureate exams can file challenges today

The average grade of 10 in the Baccalaureate exams was obtained by 16 candidates this year, as opposed to 11 in 2019. As many as 725 candidates have the average grade higher than or equal to 9, as opposed to 535 in 2019. The number of candidates with the average grade higher than or equal to 8 is of 3,026, as opposed to 2,371 in 2019. The students can see the grades obtained in each Baccalaureate exam at the Baccalaureate Center where they sat the exam or on www.bac.edu.md, IPN reports.

According to the Ministry of Education, Culture and Research, 16,213 candidates were admitted in total. The exam pass rate among high school graduates is of 87.52%, up 0.11 percentage points compared with the Baccalaureate session of 2019. Of the 4,601 admitted candidates from colleges and excellence centers, 1,972 candidates passed the exam, the pass rate being 42.86%. Twenty-two candidates of the 169 who failed the exams the previous sessions passed the exam this year, which is about 13%.

In total, 11,727 candidates passed the national Baccalaureate exam during the main session, before the challenge submission period, which is 72.33% of the total number, the exam pass rate being by 4.4 percentage points higher than at the same stage of the main Baccalaureate session 2019. One candidate was eliminated from the session this year for cheating.

The candidates who do not agree with the grades can submit challenges to Baccalaureate Centers between 9am and 6pm on June 28. Each candidate can see the graded test papers on www.bac.edu.md based on a password provided by the education institution where they studied. The final results of the main session will be posted on July 4, after the examination of challenges.
