The candidate for Prime Minister Natalia Gavrilița will ask for the Parliament’s vote of confidence for the new Cabinet on February 8. Even if two parliamentary groups said trenchantly that they will not vote for the Gavrilița Government so that snap elections could be triggered, the MPs ask that the candidate should present a proper government program and a solid governmental team in Parliament so as not to discredit the executive, IPN reports.
The PAS MPs said Natalia Gavrilița is now working on the government program that she will present in Parliament on February 8.
“Definitely, Missis Gavrilița will come to Parliament on February 8 as she has 15 days together with the day of the vote to appear in Parliament,” PAS MP Vladrimir Bolea said in the program “Emphasis on today” on TVR Moldova channel.
Even if they said they will not support the Gavrilița Government, the MPs of the PPPDA intend to come to Parliament to analyze the government program and to put questions to the potential ministers.
“We will be in the assembly hall and will take part in the sitting as this is a sign of respect for the citizens. But we will not vote. We weren’t consulted or asked to take part in the constitution of the governmental team. However, things should be taken seriously and the governmental team should consist of competent and professional persons who would ensure the process is serious,” said PPPDA MP VAsile Năstase.
The Socialists demand that Natalia Gavrilița should come before the MPs with a professional government program so as not to affect the image of the executive.
“The eventual ministers should be professionals and this is the main condition. The government program should be complex and should show how the economy, the social sphere, the health sector will be developed. We haven’t yet taken a decision as we do not yet know the candidates for ministers,” said Socialist MP Oleg Lipskii.
Earlier, the leader of the PDM Pavel Filip said the Democratic MPs will most probably not take part in the Parliament sitting where Natalia Gavrilița will present her government program. Under the law, the Government can be invested by the votes of at least 51 MPs.
